…Más que mujeres!

is a project that was born from my desire to celebrate International Women's Day by photographing the faces of women who live in our Happy Valley community. Strong, determined and generous women who inspire in all of us love, passion, resilience, tenacity, empathy, modesty, honesty and altruism. Values that push the new generations to be better human beings.

I presented this work at a self-hosted exhibit at the 3Dots Downtown gallery in State College on March 5th.

Blossoming

is a four piece work that represents a woman’s self-discovery, growth and resilience amidst societal pressures and expectations, following the metaphor of the act of blossoming. Each photograph is on a canvas with added texture to represent said growth.

I presented this work at the 4th Annual Juneteenth Arts & Crafts Exhibition at the Woskob Family Gallery in State College, from June 14th through July 14th, and I received a Recognition Award bestowed by their Committee, chaired by Dr. Grace Hampton.
